Fourth graders taught kindergarteners how to cut hearts, then used their creativity to create a variety of designs. Great Job helping your Kinder Buddies prepare for Valentine's Day!
The third-grade classes have delved into the exploration of the letters and sounds comprising the Spanish Alphabet. This week, they're putting their newfound knowledge to use by collaboratively arranging the letters in sequence. Additionally, they are enjoying engaging activities aimed at recognizing and practicing the distinctive sounds present in the Spanish language.

📚🏀 Book Madness Update! 🏀📚
The excitement continues as we dive into Rounds 3 and 4 of the Sweet 16! 🌟 But before we embark on this literary journey, let's take a moment to celebrate the triumphs of Rounds 1 and 2. The following books emerged victorious, capturing our hearts and minds:

The students in Mrs. Vavalle's class have been learning about area and how it is the total space taken up in a 2D object. To close out our study of measuring area, students drew out their names on graph paper and calculated the area of the letters. It was so fun for us to create!!
Recently, the fourth graders created flashcards to use as study aids during their unit on the basic body parts in Spanish. Today they had a great time working with partners using those cards. They took turns discussing the meanings of the words and their correct pronunciations. They had fun helping each other review all of our new vocabulary words.

Less than one more week to bring in donations for Young at Heart or Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary in support of the Kindergarten and First Grade Music Concert! Donations can be brought to Mrs. Flores during the school day until February 15th or brought to the Benefit Concert on February 15th! Check out the donation lists to see what each animal rescue needs!
Teamwork in action! Check out these heartwarming snapshots from Mrs. Lacher's and Mrs. Weber's classes yesterday. Second graders teamed up with their kindergarten buddies to tackle a STEM project: designing buildings for the three little pigs. 🏗️🐷
Today, students at RGS engaged in the FPS competition at NMS, tackling a challenging scenario taking place in the future. Their task was to devise innovative solutions for ongoing environmental research, employing the problem-solving process to identify challenges and craft robust action plans. We're so proud of all their hard work!
