After reading informational texts on snowflakes and a man by the name "Snowflake Bently", Mrs. Bojan's students were challenged with a STEM project to make as many different snowflakes as possible using marshmallows and toothpicks.

Ms. Elliott’s 4th Grade class made Valentine’s Cards for local seniors. State Senator Craig Wilcox’s goal was to bring joy to our community’s seniors. This act of kindness is so HEARTWARMING.

Mrs. Vavalle’s 3rd grade students wrote rough drafts of their friendly letters. They buddied up and used an editing checklist to make corrections on each other's letters.
Mrs. Hamlin’s celebrated World Read Aloud Day with the story, Picture the Sky. The author Barbara Reid, from Canada, read it aloud live!!
Ms. Rietschel’s 4th grade class has been exploring cone shaped volcanoes that explode and create various shapes. The class discovered that when cone shaped volcanoes like Mt. St. Helens erupt, the ash travels thousands of miles and contributes to the formation of fossils.
Students in Mrs. Vavalle's 3rd grade class are learning how clouds formulate. They had a blast performing a gas trap experiment. This is a photo of students creating their own clouds and the observation process.
Earlier this week, Miss Elliot’s 4th Grade Class enjoyed their new science lesson on volcanoes! For this experiment, Bubble Trouble, students investigated how differences in lava types can explain the differences in shape and eruption patterns.

This week 2nd grade had another fun Mystery Reader Mrs. Brown! She got the students excited for winter with her story.
All grade levels had the opportunity to participate in our Super U Challenge assembly today! In a kid’s TV show format, students gained a deeper understanding of how their words and actions impact everyone around them.
