Good Afternoon,
We are currently under a winter storm warning. We are expecting snow mixed with high winds and dropping temperatures. Out of an abundance of caution for student and staff safety, school for Nippersink SD 2 and Richmond-Burton CHSD 157 have been canceled for Thursday, December 22nd.
All extra curricular events for December 22nd are also cancelled.
Principal Baird from RB will be sending information out today regarding the make up schedule for Thursday's finals.

Mrs. Edelman's kindergarten students are working hard practicing their sight words with a fun partner holiday game.
12.21.22 “And what happened then? Well, in Whoville they say that the Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day!” ~Dr. Seuss. Mrs. Vavalle’s third grade class celebrated Grinch Day yesterday and created some fun art projects!

Mrs. Bojan’s class marked the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party by enjoying a “cuppa”, as they say in England. However the English were not smiling on that day in 1773.
Donuts with Grownups was a huge success this morning. Thank you to our PTO for organizing and to all the volunteers that made this event possible!
What a game! 5th grade enjoyed seeing the Chicago Wolves yesterday on their field trip.
Jay Reed from MAST , a non-profit therapy dog organization, visited our 2nd and 3rd Grade classrooms today. The students LOVED meeting therapy dogs Mason and TJ!
Kindergarten students in Mrs. Lacher’s class are enhancing their math skills with the game Top It.
Mrs. Weber’s class is doing a hands-on lesson to learn about solid, liquid, and gas.

Thank you to our Holiday Shop volunteers! They’ve done a great job of organizing and assisting out students in their purchases for the upcoming holiday season. The last day for shopping is this coming Friday, 12/9/22.
