Election Day is an official state holiday for the 2024 election season, under provisions of an amendment to Illinois’ school code. As a result, children in K-12 public schools will not be required to attend classes.

Friday is an early release day for students. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 AM and there are no ECE classes.


Thank you to the families that participated in the Character Pumpkin contest! All of the pumpkins turned out great.





Recently, the kindergarten classes finished their unit on basic Spanish greetings. They had a wonderful time using their greeting signs to show when it is appropriate to use Hola and Adios. They had so much fun showing what they had learned!


A few of the students had some fun in the leaves during recess today.


The K-5 report cards are now available for viewing in your Skyward account. To access your child's report card in Skyward, click on the "Report Cards" tab.

Treering is offering 10% off the 24-25 SGE Yearbook until October 31, 2024. Just follow the directions on the flyer to receive this deal. Yearbooks will be available at the end of the 24-25 school year.


The 1st graders learned the process of 3D printing and custom printed 3D apple and pumpkin cookie cutters to compliment their recent field trip to Stades Farm. They enjoyed using the cookie cutters with their Play-doh!

You know it is October when you see the 2nd grade decorations in the hallway!





The 5th grade classes completed research and presentations on emerging technologies this week. A few examples include learning about medical assisting robots, autonomous vehicles, and AI hearing aides!

The Spring Grove Police Department has informed us that the soft lockdown can be lifted. The students will resume normal activities.
