Happy Holidays!
ALL School Holiday Sing-Along!
Baby It's Cold Outside. Put on an UGLY sweater.
Christmas Light Up! Wear all the lights, sparkles, & things that shine! (Thursday 12/21)
When Mrs. Bojan dropped off her students at Spanish class with Mrs. Zaremba, both of their faces "lit" up when they looked at each other. They were wearing the same holiday lights shirt!
Sports Day! What are the holidays without a good game? Wear your favorite team!
Goody Grinch Day! Don't be a Grinch, except for today! Wear green or Grinch attire.
FA LA LA LA LA FLANNEL DAY! Only 4 more days, feel the holiday craze! Throw on some flannel!
What do you do when there is no snow? You have an indoor "snowball fight" of course. The students in Mrs. Lavelle's class had a snowball fight to learn their vocabulary words. Once they get a snowball they have to tell Mrs. Lavelle the definition of their vocabulary word that was written on their paper snowball! As you can see from their smiling faces, it's been their favorite way to practice their vocabulary words!
We want to take a moment to congratulate our 5th graders, along with Mrs. Flores & Mr. Pryor on a very successful music and band performance last Thursday! Our students are so talented and the music arrangements were wonderful! Thank you to our RGS Parent's for your support!
To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party last week, Mrs. Bojan’s 5th-grade class had tea while making and testing waterproof tea chests as ordered by King George III. It was a jolly good time!
How do you keep 5th graders busy during a 30-minute lunch? With rock paper scissors competitions that's how. Mrs. G continues to be the champion!
2nd Grade had a Polar Express Adventure today in their PJs!!
Long Winter's Nap : Come to school in your coziest sleepwear.
Miss Elliott's 4th-grade and Mrs. Hamlin's 2nd-grade classes buddied up for some gingerbread house decorating yesterday! The students' creativity (& taste buds) ran wild as they worked together to create a masterpiece. It was such a JOLLY time!
Today was Silly Stocking Day! Rock a pair of your favorite crazy or holiday socks.
Yesterday was Ribbon & Bow Day! Dress yourself in ribbons and gift bows.
Another flashback when... "No taxation without representation!" The 5th graders were learning about the events leading up to the Revolutionary War.
A flashback when Mrs. Baker's fifth-grade class held a peaceful protest, as they simulated the colonists' reaction to King George's tax laws. "No Taxation without Representation" could be heard at school that day!
