We have just been informed that the McHenry County Health Department has assigned Thursday, February 11, as the required date for Nippersink District 2 employees to get their Covid-19 vaccination. In order to successfully allow enough time for the staff to participate, we will be changing our school schedule for that day. On Thursday, February 11 we will be implementing our Early Dismissal Schedule in which the NMS school day ends at 10:50 a.m. The B group of students will be in-person on this day and will participate in a full schedule of shortened classes. The school day will begin at the regular time of 7:45 a.m. and end at 10:50 a.m. There will be no after school activities or clubs on this day. Thank you for understanding!
On February 11, all D2 employees that would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccination will be able to do so. The surrounding school districts have worked with the MCDH to establish two large vaccination clinics capable of vaccinating all school employees throughout the county on February 11-12. This represents one more step forward in our fight against COVID-19.
