To the Nippersink SD 2 Community:
Today, Governor JB Pritzker released an Executive Order which requires all students and staff in Illinois public schools to return to universal masking. Although the Nippersink SD 2 Board of Education had already acted to make masks optional, the Governor’s Executive Order will override any previous local action taken by the Board of Education. Therefore, Nippersink SD 2 must adopt the requirements for universal masking found in the Governor’s Executive Order.
The Nippersink SD 2 Board of Education continues to remain committed to ensuring all students receive a full in-person education this year and are able to participate in all the traditional activities this Fall that mark the return to school.
As new information is received, the District will continue to keep students, staff and parents updated. We ask for your continued patience and support as we continue to pursue the safest and least restrictive learning environment for our students.
